JOHANNESBURG - David Wiese says he's still coming to terms with his Indian Premier League (IPL) contract.

The Titan was snapped up by the Royal Challengers for $466,000 at the tournament's auction on Monday and he admits that he's still shocked at being bought by such a strong team at such a high price.

"It's unbelievable, if you look at guys like AB, Chris Gayle, Virat Kohli, Darren Sammy is there too to catch up with me, it will be nice to catch up with him again and Mitchell Starc. It's just star-studded. For me to fill that lineup it's quite unbelievable."

Wiese recently smashed 71 off 33 balls to help the Titans beat the Dolphins in the One Day Cup (ODI) semis, a tournament they went on to win.

He says the innings came at the perfect time but didn't expect it to be that significant.

"I didn't know the auctions were around the corner. But to be honest, I didn't really think about that going into innings or with that innings I didn't really think it could impact as much as it could have."

While Wiese has played eight T20s for the Proteas, he's yet to play an ODI but is considered to be one of the favourites should the team suffer an injury at the World Cup. He says it's the furthest thing from his mind.

"I actually haven't thought about that. My mind is going straight into four-day mode now, we've got a tough one against the Titans this weekend coming up. So for me that ship kind sailed now and I'm moving on, moving forward now, and next challenge coming up."

Wiese says he hasn't made any lavish purchases as he hasn't seen the money yet and he wants to ready himself for the challenge.

"No, no I haven't done that yet I just want wrap myself in cotton wool to make sure I get there in one piece."
