The Script enthrals Johannesburg fans
The Irish trio put on a top-class performance at the Coca-Cola Dome.
JOHANNESBURG - South Africa's all-time favourite Irish band The Script made screaming girls fall to pieces on Wednesday night with a soulful performance at the Coca Cola Dome.
Their third show in Johannesburg didn't disappoint the as the rockers put on arguably their best performance yet, to thousands of fans playing a full list of favourites from their latest album No Sound Without Silence.
A major highlight saw lead singer Danny O'Donoghue take a cellphone from a fan in the front row, after which he called the fan's ex-girlfriend to sing her the song Nothing live on stage, which left fans stunned.
In a final tease, O'Donoghue descended into an ocean of screaming girls on an escalator, which turned into a fair amount of oestrogen-fuelled hysteria and unbridled groping.
The band's next stop is in Durban tomorrow night. They move onto Cape Town, where they play at the Grand Arena this Sunday.
