Chris Nissen facing drunken driving charge
Former ANC Western Cape chairperson Chris Nissen was arrested on Sunday night.
CAPE TOWN - Former ANC Western Cape chairperson Chris Nissen is expected to appear in court in October on charges of drunk driving.
He was arrested on Sunday night while driving his Porsche SUV.
Authorities have confirmed a breathalyser test was conducted.
Police spokesperson Frederick van Wyk says Nissen was released shortly after his arrest.
"The incident occurred at the corner of Botfontein Road and Voortrekker Road on Sunday. He was arrested and released on warning to appear in court."
