Defender Thulani Hlatshwayo is recovering from a concussion sustained against Senegal.
CAPE TOWN - Bafana Bafana defender Thulani Hlatshwayo has been ruled out of tomorrow night's must-win Group C Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) game against Ghana due to a concussion.
He sustained the injury in their 1-1 draw with Senega l on Friday.
Captain Dean Furman sat out training yesterday with a tight thigh muscle while defender Rivaldo Coetzee looks fit to play after missing the Senegal clash.
Bafana team doctor, Thulani Ngwenya, says Coetzee's return is subject to an on-field assessment.
"We need to confirm if he can play. However, clinically, as we speak he's fit to play. But we need to take him to the field to check whether he's fit to complete the whole process."
Ngwenya says they need to check whether he can train with the team.
"He has done his rehabilitation process. He's pain free at the moment."
Bafana will take on Ghana at 8pm tomorrow night at Estadio de Mongomo.
