JOHANNESBURG - Bafana Bafana and Senegal played out to a goalless first half in their second match of the African Cup of Nations (Afcon) 2015.

Coach Shakes Mashaba's boys were the liveliest of the two teams, as they were in their game against Algeria, but couldn't trouble Senegal's goalkeeper.

Bafana were subjected to a number of brutal tackles; Eric Mathoho was the first one to get a nasty knock at the back of his head, then Thulani Hlatshwayo was the next one to receive a blow to the head.

Hlatshwayo's injury was too severe for him to continue and was replace by Ayanda Gcaba on the half hour mark.

The game is a must win for Bafana who lost their first match, while Senegal, Algeria and Ghana are all on three points.
