JOHANNESBURG - Bafana Bafana were held to a one-all draw by Senegal in their second Group C match of the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) despite dominating another game for most parts.

The first half ended goalless but not without both sides creating a couple of chances.

Oupa Manyisa broke the deadlock in the first minute of the second stanza, sealing off a well-worked effort into the box.

Shakes Mashaba's men kept up the pressure for several minutes after the goal but their chances went begging, allowing Senegal to regain composure.

The Lions of Teranga were denied a goal just before the hour mark with the referee ruling the goal as offside.

They hit again almost immediately through Kara Mbodji who leapt higher the Bafana defence to power the ball past Jackson Mabokgwane.

The game opened up from then and as both teams went in search of the killer punch but it would never come as they drew.

Bafana, Senegal, Ghana and Algeria will play their final group matches on Tuesday with the South Africans taking on the Black Stars.

Earlier, four-time winners, Ghana's Asamoah Gyan struck deep into stoppage time to earn a 1-0 victory over Algeria.

That result left Ghana, Algeria and Senegal on three points in Group C.
