WC cracks down of traffic offenders
Law enforcement has brought several intoxicated drivers to book over the weekend.
CAPE TOWN - Western Cape law enforcement have cracked down on traffic offenders this weekend, bringing several intoxicated drivers to book.
Traffic Services' Kenny Africa says more than a dozen roadblocks were set up around the province.
More than R100,000 worth of traffic fines were also issued to offenders.
Three people died in motor related incidents this weekend in Ladysmith, Touwsriver and Stellenbosch.
"At the end of the day we arrested 10 drunken drivers and the highest reading recorded was a reading 1,44 milligrams per 1,000 millilitres and that was in the Swellendam area."
