Shootout between police, hijackers near Linksfield school
The men had allegedly robbed a house on the East Rand and made off with a Mercedes Benz.
JOHANNESBURG - There's been a shootout between police and suspected hijackers near Saheti School in Linksfield in eastern Johannesburg.
The men had allegedly robbed a house on the East Rand and made off with a Mercedes Benz, which they later crashed on Linksfield Road.
The police's Noxolo Kweza says officers arrested one suspect.
"Ekurhuleni Metro Police spotted them and a shootout ensued.One suspect was shot as he was trying to escape. The other suspect tried to drive away and they collided with another car."
