CAPE TOWN - Western Cape Premier Helen Zille has made two changes to her provincial Cabinet.

The MECs for Health and Cultural Affairs and Sport have swopped portfolios.

Nomafrench Mbombo will now take over the health portfolio and Theuns Botha will serve as Cultural Affairs and Sport MEC.

The Western Cape government's Trace Venter says it was a strategic move.

"The premier has used her judgment in making the changes and she is confident that the changes will make our Cabinet an even stronger team. She believes that all her provincial ministers have the right mix of skill, expertise and experience."
