Presidency lashes out at columnist
The president’s office said Max du Preez’s article was prejudicial and racist.
JOHANNESBURG - The Presidency on Tuesday lashed out at columnist Max du Preez.
Zuma's office said the article was prejudicial, racist and had factual errors.
It said the column was a personal attack on the president and the information was not verified.
Du Preez however disputed this, saying it's important for him to voice his opinion.
"The golden thread of his [Zuma's] presidency is to make decisions and interfere so as to stay out of court.
"The Presidency's reaction that I was probably a racist is on the same level as Steve Hofmeyr and Dan Roodt calling me an Afrikaner hater," the columnist added.
