Woman held after R7m tik bust
The suspect was arrested while collecting a parcel in Montague Gardens.
CAPE TOWN - A woman was arrested after she was caught with tik worth more than R7 million, Cape Town police confirmed on Tuesday.
The 32-year-old was apprehended while collecting a parcel at a courier company in an industrial area in Montague Gardens on Monday morning.
Police spokesperson Thembinkosi Kinana said the bust was a result of a joint operation between the Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation (DPCI) and Crime Intelligence Unit.
This after officials received a tip off about the suspicious parcel.
The woman will appear in court on Wednesday morning.
