Anti-Woolies protesters due in court today

CAPE TOWN - Four people are due appear in court today after being arrested during an anti-Woolworths protest in Claremont.

The group, thought to be part of the Action Forum 4 Palestine, was arrested at the Cavendish Square Shopping Mall at the weekend.

The boycott Woolworths campaign was launched in August by several organisations which are calling for a complete boycott of the retailer until it ends trade links with Israel.

The police's Andre Traut says, "Three males and one female were arrested. They are due to make a court appearance in Wynberg on charges of intimidation, trespassing and contravention of a court order."
