High Court to hear EFF MPs suspension appeal
20 EFF MPs were suspended after being found guilty of breaching Parliament's rules.
Twenty EFF Members of Parliament (MPs) were suspended after being found guilty of breaching Parliament's rules by its Powers and Privileges Committee.
The sanction follows the party's protest in the National Assembly in August when they called on President Jacob Zuma to " pay back the money" spent on private upgrades to his Nkandla home in KwaZulu-Natal.
A dozen of them were suspended without pay for between 14 and 30 days.
EFF spokesperson Mbuyiseni Ndlozi says they are hopeful their MPs will be vindicated.
"It will be heard today and we are hopeful that the EFF will be vindicated."
