Final PSL mid-week 2014 fixtures
The pick of tonight’s games will be the clash between Orlando Pirates and Moroka Swallows.
JOHANNESBURG - There were 14 goals scored in Tuesday's Premier Soccer League (PSL) action and the tally is expected to rise as the final mid-week fixtures for 2014 wrap up tonight with another four matches.
The pick of the evening's games will be the original Soweto derby between Orlando Pirates and Moroka Swallows at Dobsonville Stadium.
Swallows will be looking to do the double over Pirates after beating them in the opening clash of the season at Orlando Stadium.
The Bucs on the other hand will be hoping to build on their 4-0 thrashing of Ajax Cape Town and move into fourth position on the log above the Urban Warriors.
Platinum Stars take on Chippa United at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium, also in search of redemption following their 2-0 defeat to the Chilli Boys in the season opener.
Gavin Hunt will be up against the side he guided to three successive league titles as his Wits outfit to tackle SuperSport United.
The Clever Boys are in a second spot tussle with Mamelodi Sundowns, having been overtaken by the Brazilians after their result against Maritzburg United.
Three points will see Wits reclaim their place behind log leaders Kaizer Chiefs.
Finally, Mpumalanga Black Aces welcome Bloemfontein Celtic, who have recently been reunited with Clint Larsen, following coach Ernst Middendorp's departure.
