Algeria coach names Afcon team

The squad includes three players from the English Premier League.

JOHANNESBURG - Algeria head coach Christian Gourcuff has named his 23-man squad for the Caf Africa Cup of Nations to be hosted by Equatorial Guinea from 17 January to 8 February.

The squad includes three players from the English Premier League including Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Nabil Bentaleb, Newcastle United's Mehdi Abeid Mehdi, and Leicester City forward Riyah Mahrez.

The continent's number one ranked team Algeria are in Group C with Bafana Bafana and they meet in their opening match of the tournament in Mongomo on the 19th of January.

Defenders :
