JOHANNESBURG - Bloemfontein Celtic has parted ways with its coach Ernst Middendorp due to a string of poor results.

"Unfortunately positive results were not forthcoming and both parties deemed it appropriate to mutually terminate the contract," said a statement from the club.

Clinton Larsen will immediately take over as head coach with his first assignment against Mpumalanga Black Aces on Wednesday.

Middendorp joined Celtic in October 2013, after he resigned from Maritzburg United.

Lehlohonolo Seema, who was not on the bench on Sunday due to family reasons, will remain as an assistant to Clinton and they will be joined by Simon Gopane as the goalkeeper coach.

The team has wished Middendorp, together with his coaching staff, all the best in their future endeavors.
