JOHANNESBURG - Another win for Kaizer Chiefs has taken 14 points clear at the top of the PSL table.

A Bernard Parker strike against Chippa United proved to be the winner as Amakhosi notched up their 12th win out of 16 games.

Second place Wits have a chance to narrow that gap when they take on struggling Platinum Stars on Sunday afternoon.

Orlando Pirates put in the performance of the day though with a 4-0 thrashing of Ajax Cape Town.

An own goal from Anssi Jaakkola was accompanied by goals from Lehlohonolo Majoro, Siyabonga Sangweni and Kermit Erasmus as caretaker coach Eric Tinkler recorded a big win over his former boss Roger De Sa.

The Tshwane Derby was a dull affair as the University of Pretoria and Mamelodi Sundowns drew 1-1.

The same scoreline was produced at the Lucas Moripe Stadium as SuperSport United took on Polokwane City, while Black Aces and Free State Stars could only manage a 2-2 draw.

There were no goals to celebrate on Sunday as Stars and Wits played out to a goalless draw as did Bloemfontein Celtic and Moroka Swallows.
