6 arrested for house robberies in Gauteng

Police say they confiscated six firearms and ammunition during the arrest in honeydew this morning.

JOHANNESBURG - Gauteng police have arrested six suspects linked to several house robberies and hijackings in the province.

Police say they confiscated six firearms and ammunition during the arrest in Honeydew, west of Johannesburg this morning

Three stolen vehicles, electronics and jewellery were also seized during the raid.

The police's Khensani Magoai says, "They are being charged with illegal possession of firearms, ammunition and suspected stolen property."

She says the suspects will appear in the Randburg Magistrates Court soon.
