JOHANNESBURG - Lack of goals in Sunday's PSL action, as Ben Motshwari scored the only goal of the day, handed Bidvest Wits all three points against Bloemfontein Celtic.

What had promised to be an exciting Sunday afternoon didn't quite deliver as Ajax Cape Town entertained SuperSport United at the Athlone Stadium.

The clash finished goalless, although the second half was certainly more exciting than the first, which failed to spark into life under hot conditions in Cape Town.

Young Ronwen Williams of SuperSport United continued to earn his stripes as a goalkeeper with some stunning saves to keep the hosts out, while David Mathebula came close to winning it all at the end for Matsatsantsa, but his fierce shot came off the upright in the 90th minute.

The result sees Ajax drop from 2nd to 4th on the standings.

In Bloemfontein, a hot afternoon produced a dreary game between Bloemfontein Celtic and Bidvest Wits.

It seemed nothing was going to separate the two outfits, until the 84th minute, when Ben Motshwari came to the party with what would turn out to be the winner.

Gavin Hunt's men with the perfect response to a disappointing 3-0 defeat to Kaizer Chiefs, and the Clever Boys move to joint second with Sundowns.
