10 killed in KZN crash
A bakkie and a truck collided head-on last night on the R22 in the Umkhanyakude Health District.
JOHANNESBURG - Ten people have died and three others injured following an accident on the R22 in the Umkhanyakude Health District in northern KwaZulu-Natal.
It's understood a bakkie and a truck collided head-on last night.
The circumstances surrounding the incident are being investigated by police.
KwaZulu-Natal Emergency Medical Service's Robert McKenzie says a child was among those killed.
"Sadly 10 people lost their lives in the accident. Three people were treated on scene before being rushed by paramedics to a nearby hospital for continued medical care."
