JOHANNESBURG - Australia won the toss and elected to bat first putting South Africa's bowlers to the sword after they posted 329/5 in their allotted 50 overs.
Aaron Finch top-scored with 109, Steve Smith finished on 73 not out while David Warner made 53 and Shane Watson 40.
Australia made three changes to the team that lost by three wickets on Sunday, with Mitchell Starc, Xavier Doherty and Kane Richardson all coming into the team.
Morne Morkel took two wickets, while Vernon Philander, Farhaan Behardien and AB de Villiers all took a wicket each.
After starring with the bat, Australia will be confident of restricting the Proteas at the Manuka Oval and in doing so taking a 2-1 series lead.
In team news, captain De Villiers has named an unchanged line-up and admits he would have chosen to bat if he'd won the toss.
