JOHANNESBURG - Another Woolworths customer has come forward saying she found a dead insect inside a pack of noodles she bought at a Gauteng branch earlier this month.

Dominique Ford took a picture of the insect, resembling a cockroach.

Last week, another Woolworths customer found a dead frog in his salad.

Ford says she and her mother threw out the packet of noodles which they had opened a day after they went shopping at Woolworths at the Rock Cottage Shopping Centre in Honeydew.

"My mom poured the noodles into the bowl and she saw the bug. She basically had to scrape out all the noodles because she was worried about what was going to be in there."

Both pictures have been posted on social media.

Woolworths responded this morning, saying it sets itself high quality standards and it's very unusual to find an insect or frog in their products.

The company says that healthy farms attract insects, birds and other wildlife.

Woolworths says the frog or insect may have slipped through their extensive quality checks undetected.

The company says it welcomes feedback from its customers.
