Taegrin Morris: Suspect could be re-arrested
Charges against Thamsanqa Twala were withdrawn on Friday, due to a lack of evidence.
JOHANNESBURG - The Gauteng community safety MEC says authorities will work flat-out to arrest those responsible for the death of a four-year-old Reiger Park boy.
On Friday, charges against Thamsanqa Twala were withdrawn in the Boksburg Magistrates Court, due to a lack of evidence.
MEC Sizakele Nkosi-Malobane says the investigation is still continuing and Twala might be rearrested.
"He is not a free man. He is actually temporarily released because we're still continuing with the investigation and we request that the community also come forward and assist us in getting the right man. Even if it's this one, they must come forward and be witnesses."
