JOHANNESBURG - Bafana Bafana qualified for the 2015 African Cup of Nations with a 2-1 win over Sudan at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on Saturday.

In an emotional day following the death of South African captain Senzo Meyiwa, Thulani Serero opened the scoring for Bafana, after latching on to a fantastic string of play from defender Rivaldo Coetzee, and Tokelo Rantie.

Sudan were restricted to shooting from distance, with Bongani Ndulula missing an open goal and a chance to make the score 2-0.

Tokelo Rantie scored the winning goal of the match with a moment of individual brilliance, splitting the Sudanese defence before finding the back of the net for a comfortable looking Bafana.

Sudan made it a tense finish to the game when they netted a goal of their own in the 77th minute, thanks to a strike from Sulah Ibrahim.

The visitors continued to pile on the pressure as the game came to a close, but couldn't find an equalizer in front of a nervy Moses Mabhida crowd.
