BOKSBURG - Prosecutors have withdrawn all charges against the man accused of killing 4-year-old Taegrin Morris.

This comes just days after the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) set free the man accused of murdering Bafana Bafana captain Senzo Meyiwa due to a lack of evidence.

Morris was dragged behind his mother's hijacked vehicle in Reiger Park in July and later found dead next to the abandoned VW Golf.

It took a Boksburg Magistrate just 2 minutes to withdraw all charges against Thamsanqa Twala after a request from the prosecutor.

The state didn't give any reasons for this unexpected application.

Twala was not in court this morning, but his family sat in the gallery sharing benches with angry Reiger Park residents.

Supporters of the Morris family were furious after the announcement was made.

Some shouted "We not going to leave it like this."

The community is now demanding answers from the prosecuting team.

Twala was the only person arrested in connection with the murder.
