JOHANNESBURG - New cellphone footage has emerged of Thursday's chaos in the National Assembly.

Parliament TV's live feed was suspended after riot police were called into the chamber following a heated session between Members of Parliament (MPs) during the Nkandla debate.

The footage, filmed from the public gallery, shows the tussle between parliamentarians shortly after an Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) MP was booted from the house.

Opposition MPs claim police assaulted several politicians.
