Toddler recovering after gang shooting

CAPE TOWN - A two-year-old girl is recovering at the Red Cross Children's Hospital after she was wounded during gang crossfire in Lavender Hill in the Western Cape.
The toddler was shot in the leg during the incident this week.
The Red Cross Children's Hospital spokesperson Angelique Jordaan says, "The two year old girl is currently in a stable condition after being admitted to hospital. It is unclear when she will be discharged."
This is the latest incident in which a young child was caught in the crossfire of a gang shootout in the Western Cape.
A six-year-old girl was shot in the leg when she was caught in a drive-by shooting in Mitchells Plain in-front of her grandmother's home only two weeks ago.
