CAPE TOWN - Ten people have died in alleged gang-related shootings in Hanover Park over the past two weeks.

In the most recent incident, police apprehended a suspect following a fatal shooting in the area last night.

The police's Lance Goliath says a 47-year-old man was gunned down.

"We have arrested a suspect on a charge of murder and illegal possession of ammunition."

Police are yet to establish the motive for the killing.

At the same time, three men were shot and killed in Manenberg last night.

Another man was wounded and taken to hospital.

The police's Andre Traut says the men died on the scene.

"The circumstances around the death of the three men are being investigated. The motive is unknown. No arrests have been made."
