Yesterday, EWN reported that Sam Meyiwa, father of slain Bafana Bafana captain Senzo Meyiwa, had spoken out about his dissatisfaction with Kelly Khumalo's behaviour since his son's death.

Following reports that singer and girlfriend to the deceased Meyiwa, Khumalo would not hand over the soccer star’s ID and BMW 702 spoke to the family.

Speaking to Xolani Gwala on the Afternoon Drive, family spokesperson, Siyabonga Meyiwa shunned reports that Kelly Khumalo would not hand over the deceased Bafana Bafana Captain’s ID and possessions.

I don’t think she will refuse with Senzo’s belongings because she knows [that] it belongs to the kids now and not to anyone else. Kelly and everybody else has Senzo’s best interests at heart, so she won’t do that, she is not capable of that - I think she loved Senzo and we all knew that and he loved her.

Responding to reports that Kelly Khumalo was banned from Meyiwa’s funeral, Siyabonga clarified that the public needs to understand that the family is going through a hard time, that Sam Meyiwa did not mean what he said about Khumalo’s attendance at the funeral.

I don’t think he meant that and for sure if he has done something wrong to Kelly, he is sorry because he knows that he cannot interfere with his son’s life. The most important thing now is to make sure [that] Senzo is given a good and a dignified funeral so that his soul can rest in peace
