All matches in both PSL and National First Division have been postponed because of Senzo Meyiwa’s passing.

JOHANNESBURG - The Premier Soccer League has decided to postpone all this weekend's fixtures, for both Premier Soccer League and National First Division games, the statement said.

This was done following discussions between the league, title sponsors, the broadcast partners and other stakeholders regarding the circumstances relating to the passing and funeral of the late Orlando Pirates and Bafana Bafana captain, Senzo Meyiwa.

Meyiwa will be buried at his hometown in Durban on Saturday morning.

The funeral service will be held at the Moses Mabhida Stadium.

The PSL's Luxolo September explains, "I can confirm following a meeting of the Executive Committee and some deliberations between the league, the sponsors and the broadcast partners a decision was taken and it was postponed."
