UMLAZI - The father of slain Bafana Bafana and Orlando Pirates captain Senzo Meyiwa says he believes his son would still be alive if he didn't have an affair with singer Kelly Khumalo.

Sam Meyiwa has told reporters at his Umlazi home that Khumalo has not even phoned to offer her condolences and says she is not welcome at the house or at the funeral.

The football star was shot dead at Khumalo's Vosloorus house in Boksburg on Sunday evening.

No arrests have been made, but police say they are confident of a breakthrough soon.

Identikits of two of the three men involved in the incident were released yesterday.

A distraught looking Sam was adamant that his son's girlfriend is not welcome in his home.

"We don't want her here, I've lost my son. She knows what Meyiwa did for us. We're not saying she killed him but we feel he died because he was in her home."

Sam added that he will instruct people to chase the singer away if she decides to come to his house.

The Meyiwa family has hired a private investigating team to probe the circumstances surrounding the murder.

Earlier Khumalo broke her silence and sent a message of condolence to the Meyiwa family in a statement released yesterday.

While expressing sorrow at the passing of the soccer star, the musician and her family have asked for privacy, saying the law should take its course.

Authorities yesterday released identikits of two of the men they're hunting for and have appealed to members of the community to come forward with information.
