SA man creates jobs in Seychelles
South African property developer, Craig Heeger, has built a new hotel and villas on Eden Island.
CAPE TOWN - A Cape Town businessman says a new development in the Seychelles has contributed massively to local job creation.
Property Developer Craig Heeger has built a business-orientated hotel and villas on Eden Island near the country's capital Victoria.
The 10 year project cost R5.5 billion.
People flew in from around the world for last night's grand opening.
Heeger says the Seychelles government has welcomed the contribution to the economy.
"The president of the Seychelles has often said in public and private that were it not for a hidden island he would not have been able to embark on the extraordinary economic, political, and social reforms that that has transformed Seychelles in the last 10 years," said Heeger.
