JOHANNESBURG - 16 points courtesy of Western Province flyhalf Demetri Catrakilis' boot, two Cheslin Kolbe tries and a third by Nic Groom secured Province a 31-23 win and a place in next week's Currie Cup final.

Province led 25-10 at the interval, after an exciting first half in which Province scored all their tries.

After a lackluster first half display, the Bulls faired better in the second, conceding only six points.

But Province's amazing first half display was enough to record a third win over the Bulls this season and secure that home final against the Lions here at Newlands next Saturday.

The Bulls dominated the first half territory and possession stats, but it's Province who converted their chances into points.

The visitors had something to be cheerful about before halftime, as Dean Greyling crashed over after the halftime hooter sounded - taking the score to 25-10 at the interval.

It wasn't a great afternoon for Bulls number 10 Jacque-Louis Potgieter who missed three penalty goals.

The second half wasn't as exciting as the first. Province only adding six points to their half time score.

Callie Visagie scored late on for the Bulls, their second five pointer of the day, but that wasn't going to be enough to prevent Province from winning.

That took the score 31-23 which is how it ended in favour of the home side.

WP fullback Cheslin Kolbe received the man of the match award for his two tries, and another amazing display particularly from broken play.

Ultimately though, it was the near flawless kicking display by WP pivot Demetri Catrakilis that has ensured his side will host next week's final.

Province face the Golden Lions at Newlands next Saturday.
