Man arrested in R200k drug bust
A man was arrested after police found drugs and foreign currency worth R200,000 in his posession.
JOHANNESBURG - Drugs worth an estimated street value of R200,000 have been recovered in a sting operation in Diepsloot, north of Johannesburg.
A 36-year-old man was arrested, after the police's K9 unit received a tip off.
On Wednesday police found a range of drugs that the SAPS says were ready for distribution.
Police's Daniel Mavimbela said, "He was found in possession of capsules, tablets and dust which we believe are mandrax. he also had cocaine tik, khat and American and European currency. The suspect is expected to appear in the Pretoria Magistrates Court sometimes tomorrow."
