NIGERIA - Several ministers in President Goodluck Jonathan's cabinet have resigned.
They turned in their resignation after the weekly federal executive council meeting.
The list of the ministers who resigned include that of health, labour, education, and defence.
Others are minister of Niger Delta, minister of state for trade and investment, and minister of information.
Their resignations may not be unconnected with their political ambitions as most of the ministers have their eyes on the governorship seat of their various states ahead of the general elections in the first quarter of 2015.
