CAPE TOWN - The search for an eight-year-old boy who is presumed to have drowned after he was swept out to sea in Hermanus has entered its third day.
The child and some of his friends were swimming near a local beach club on Friday, when he went missing.
He was swept out to sea from inside the tidal pool during the incoming tide.
The The National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI)'s Craig Lambinon says, "It's quite an extensive search that's been ongoing since. No sign of the child has been found and the police dive unite are continuing with that search."
