CAPE TOWN - Several Post Office box holders say they haven't received any mail for at least three weeks.

There's a massive delay in postal deliveries as a strike at the South African Post Office drags on into its second month.

Casual employees are demanding to be made permanent and receive a 15 percent salary hike.

One man gasped as he saw a gaping hole with not a single letter inside.

"There is nothing, nothing. To be honest with you I really don't know what's going on."

Some people expressed concern that accounts like utility and phone bills aren't arriving.

"We are a business and nothing is coming through."

Another man posted a letter with photographs to his family in Greece.

While one man said he is confident in the postal service and said his letter will eventually get to its destination perhaps by the end of the year.
