HARARE - Zimbabwe's first lady is holding her first rally in Harare today as she drums up support for herself and her husband, President Robert Mugabe, ahead of December's Zanu-PF Congress.

It's Grace's first rally in the Zimbabwean capital as previous rallies have been in Chinhoyi and Gweru.

_NewsDay _is reporting that at the Gweru rally, the first lady urged women supporters to take land even if they don't go onto farm it.

She boasted about how she personally took over a farm in the central Mazowe district under President Robert Mugabe's land reform programme, which was launched in 2000.

Grace said Mugabe's ministers thought she was joking when she said she wanted a farm.
