NPA frustrated by Mdluli postponement
An argument broke out between the NPA and defence attorney Ike Motloung before proceedings began.
The former police crime intelligence boss appeared in the High Court sitting in Palm Ridge this morning on charges of kidnapping, assault and intimidation related to the murder of his former lover's husband Oupa Ramogibe.
Ramogibe was shot dead in February 1999.
A loud argument broke out between the NPA and defence attorney Ike Motloung before proceedings began this morning.
Motloung claims they were not given all the relevant court documentation to prepare for today's proceedings.
After Mdluli's brief appearance the judge granted a provisional postponement.
The prosecuting body's Phindi Louw says it's frustrating because the case is now 15-years-old.
Mdluli, dressed in a black suit, then left the court, flanked by several men.
The case is expected to resume on 5 December.
