Moroccan diplomat found dead in PTA guesthouse

Police are investigating after a Moroccan consulate official was found dead in a pool of blood.

CAPE TOWN - Morocco's government has confirmed one of its diplomats in South Africa has been found dead.

The country's Foreign Affairs and Cooperation Ministry posted a brief message to its website this afternoon.

The ministry says Fatmi Noureddine "was found dead at his home, on Tuesday, Oct. 7th, 2014".

It adds: "The administrative and legal procedures, are underway, in collaboration with the South African authorities."

It is believed the consulate official was found dead in a pool of blood after a robbery at his guesthouse in Pretoria.
