JOHANNESBURG - Five rhino horns have been stolen from Oscar Pistorius's uncle, Arnold.

Johan Visagie, Managing Director of Twin City, a company founded by Arnold, says the rhino horns were stolen from a walk-in safe at the business premises in Waterkloof, Pretoria.

The theft was reported at the Brooklyn Police Station two weeks ago.

"The horns originate from our own animals. They were dehorned as a preemptive measure to save them from being targeted by poachers," says Visagie.

He says all the necessary permits for the dehorning, transport of the horns as well as the storage thereof had been obtained.

Visagie says the matter is now under investigation by the authorities.
