CAPE TOWN - Anni Dewani's father says he wants justice for his daughter and for the truth about her murder to be exposed.

On Sunday evening 702 and CapeTalk hosted a press briefing by the family of the murdered bride.

Dewani was on honeymoon with her husband, Shrien when she was gunned down in what appeared to be a botched hijacking in Khayelitsha in 2010.

The British businessman is accused of hiring three hitmen to kill her.

He will go on trial for murder in the Western Cape High Court tomorrow while Anni's killers are already serving lengthy jail terms.

Anni's father Vinod Hindocha tearfully read a prepared statement.

"It has been a period of torture for our family and we have missed Anni a lot. Now that I am here, all that I ask, is for the full story, and justice."

Hindocha and several members of his family have travelled to Cape Town to attend the trial.

"I'm confident that South Africa will conduct a fair and open trial of Shrien Dewani."

Uncle Ashok Hindocha answered questions from the press, despite the number of reporters, there were not many questions.
