JOHANNESBURG - It was a hectic day of football yesterday with five rounds of 16 fixtures of the Telkom Knockout Cup taking place.

Kaizer Chiefs' winning streak just seems to be going on and on.

The Amakhosi booked their spot in the quarterfinals of the Telkom Knockout thanks to a 14th minute goal by Bernard Parker against Martizburg. 1-0 was the final score at the FNB stadium.

In last night's other clash, AmaZulu progressed to the quarterfinals of the Telkom Knockout when they came back from two goals down to beat Bloemfontein Celtic 3-2 at the Princess Magogo Stadium.

In the other results, Mamelodi Sundowns needed extra time to get past Amatuks, beating them 2-1 at the Loftus Stadium.

Platinum Stars beat Chippa United 1-0 while Supersport United also moved into the quarterfinals of the tournament by defeating Free State Stars 1-0.

Teams that are through to the last eight include Bidvest Wits, Chiefs, Sundowns, Platinum Stars, Supersport and AmaZulu.

This afternoon at 3 pm, Ajax take on Black Aces at the Cape Town Stadium and Orlando Pirates will host Polowkane City at Orlando Stadium.
