Security to be beefed up at WC schools
The education MEC says the extra measures will help prevent vandalism and burglaries.
CAPE TOWN - The Western Cape Education Department on Thursday said security will be beefed up at more than 500 schools in the province.
This as schools close for the spring holidays on Friday.
She says this will help prevent vandalism and burglaries at schools.
"School [property] safety during the holidays is always a concern. The department school's directorate has arraigned security at the schools.
