Benoni Cash Converters store robbed
The province has recently seen a number of mall robberies where shops selling electronics have been targeted.
JOHANNESBURG - Gauteng police are searching for three suspects who allegedly robbed a Cash Converters store in Benoni.
The gang entered the shop this morning and held staff at gunpoint, before fleeing the scene with cellphones, laptops and an undisclosed amount of cash.
The province has seen a number of mall robberies in the past two months, where shops selling electronics and cellphones have been targeted.
The police's Lungelo Dlamini says, "No shots were fired and no one was injured. They fled the scene in a white Bantam with no registration number."
