'We want our R25 million back'
The City of Tshwane wants TribeOne to cover costs incurred for preparing for the festival which was cancelled.
The music event, which was to be held in Cullinan at the weekend was scrapped following claims by organisers that the city had failed to deliver on its mandated tasks.
An agreement that would have seen the festival being held over the next three years has also been cancelled.
The city says it will also seek arbitration to resolve its dispute with organisers.
City of Tshwane spokesperson Selby Bokaba says, "Our objective of taking this matter is twofold; to declare the cancellation invalid and also to claim for damages, damages are the costs that we have incurred. We want our R25 million back."
