Zuma arrives in New York
President Jacob Zuma will address the UN on Wednesday on Millennium Development Goals.
NEW YORK - President Jacob Zuma has arrived in New York, USA ahead of the 69th United Nations General Assembly.
This year's annual gathering of world leaders will focus on an array of issue, including next year's deadline for reaching the Millennium Development Goals.
President Zuma is expected to outline South Africa's progress in achieving the MDGs specifically with regard to the education, health and women empowerment.
Zuma, who's accompanied by a number of ministers, will address the UN on Wednesday.
He will also use the occasion to thank the international community for its supports on the 20th anniversary of democracy.
