JOHANNEBURG - Orlando Pirates claimed a 1-0 win over Bidvest Wits on Saturday night.

A deflected own-goal by Wits keeper Rowen Fernandez was enough to see Pirates claim all three points at Orlando Stadium on Saturday night.

The game was hardly something to write home about, as the lacklustre performance between both teams resulted in spectators booing in an effort to get some action.

In the end fans would have to wait for the final eight minutes of the match before Siyabonga Sangweni's effort was deflected in by the Wits standing keeper.

The result and performance left coach Gavin Hunt lost for words.

"There's not much to say really. I was disappointed with the result but there's not much to say."

Following the game, Hunt felt it was his team's lack of composure in front of goal that cost them the game

"We changed completely what we wanted to do. We let them have the ball, which we didn't do in the previous games. We don't have the quality they've got in the final third."

Orlando Pirates saw Tendani Ntshumayelo leave the field injured in the first half and with the MTN8 final against Kaizer Chiefs on the horizon, coach Vladimir Vermezovic has given an update on the player.

"We don't know yet. He is going for a scan on Monday. We hope it's not something serious."
