JOHANNESBURG - Another official has resigned from Public Protector Thuli Madonsela's office.

Provincial representative in the Western Cape, advocate Ruthven Janse van Rensburg, has stepped down from his position.

Madonsela's spokesperson Oupa Segalwe says the latest resignation was tendered last month.

"He resigned in August and is leaving for a higher position."

The public protector's office yesterday confirmed Chief Executive Officer Themba Mthetwa and Chief Financial Officer Dumisani Dlamini had resigned from their posts.

Segalwe said Mthethwa and Dlamini's duties will be handled by experienced officials until they are formally replaced.
