Amy Winehouse's mother recalls daughter's last days
Janis Winehouse revealed her daughter reeked of alcohol and was barely able to talk the day before she died.
JOHANNESBURG - Late English singer and songwriter, Amy Winehouse's mother, Janis has revealed that her daughter reeked of alcohol and was barely able to talk the day before she died.
Janis says she found broken bottles of white wine lying around the singer's house in north London.
Writing in a new book, Loving Amy, Janice explains she couldn't sit and watch her like that.
The pop star was found dead at her home on 23 July three years ago.
An inquest found the singer died from alcohol poisoning after a drinking binge. She was more than five times the legal drink-drive limit at the time.
Winehouse won five Grammy awards for her album Back to Black.
Loving Amy is set to be published on 11 September by Bantam Press.
